Police Brutality towards Indigenous

The ongoing police brutality in the US also affects indigenous defenders. A most recent event occurred when indigenous people blocked the road to Mount Rushmore National Monument in Keystone, South Dakota on July 3, 2020. Around Black Hills, their demonstration was treated with horrible police brutality. 8 were arrested just for protesting Trump’s rally. 2 were prominent leaders of the Standing Rock campaign, who were arrested of trespassing Trump’s rally. This arrest could lead to 12 years of detainment. This is unfortunately one of several instances of police brutality. Help bail out defenders today through BH Legal Fund.
